The Wayne Schmeeckle Collection Pt 1

https://youtu.be/UHY3fdYNQkI?si=Iu_2t4BbkACiMRi2

This is an amazing collection of muscle cars. When they first enter the building, there is a lot of Yenko memorabilia. In the "random transportation pictures" thread, Dixie had posted pics of Donna Mae, who was Don Yenko's secretary and also a racer. The man explaining some of the memorabilia mentions Donna Mae, and had it not been for looking at pictures and reading about who she was from the before mentioned thread, I would never have known who Donna Mae was, so Thanks Dixie!!! Hope y'all enjoy the video.

I would see Donna Mae about once a month at the local bank--she was still driving her pink 79 Vette with an airbrushed Marilyn Monroe on the hood and SCCA badges on the fender.

She ran in the Cannonball Run back in the 70's(far right)

That's awesome. I read about her running in the Cannonball Run, I think it was the 3rd one that she was a part of. In 1963, she became the first woman to win a SCCA championship.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...83cbc2ddec.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4e0ee1cf1f.jpg

Not sure what became of the Vette, but I do know her body was displayed in the drivers seat during her viewing.

Yes, I had read that her wish was to be sitting in the driver's seat of her Vette at her viewing, and I was wondering if that actually took place.
