New DJI Air3s Drone performance is astounding
Have been flying drones for many years and DJI just now recently has released an Air3 S model.
Stellar performance. can do 60 mph and 30 feet a second dive/ascend rate. hah. I tested River Gorge Diving here doing a Bridge shoot over. welcome to Eastern Washington Barvarian town called Leavenworth, and the river leading up to Stevens Pass to Seattle. Give me feedback, how is the 4K resolution on your end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Srt0dEMhHrc |
How's the autonomous flying?
|
Wow! Amazing footage. We’re you somewhere down on that road to fly it?
|
The 4K looks great. The panning is a bit abrupt. Very nice.
|
wicked!

Are you using FPV googles? or the DJI controller with screen?
I am a drone neophyte, but just got the new DJI Neo drone.. its tiny, but really quite amazing... you don't really even need a controller or phone to use it.. I tried the "follow" and "boomerang " modes and its just so cool..... And it takes off from your hand.... and returns to you and lands on your hand .. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1731971186.jpg |
That's cool!
Are you flying by viewing a monitor real time? |
There are FPV racing groups who fly through empty warehouses etc.
Looks like a lot of fun. |
thank you for your feedback.
that was only my 3rd or 4th flight on the Air3s. YES I apologize for the abrupt yaw pitch of the camera. those are factory settings and you can dampen way down. Steep learning curve on this drone if you want to dig deep into its full capabilities. Youtube is full of Air3s videos illustrating obstacle avoidance. It even has forward facing LIDAR now for mapping trees and such. this is what you want. Built in Screen controller. https://store.dji.com/product/dji-air-3s-fly-more-combo-rc-2?vid=173571 |
