The EV Jaguar

Jaguar's concept for their upcoming EV rebrand have been leaked. I wanted to hate it, but I think the styling has some merit.

More pictures can be found in Wired's article linked here

Hmmm....I saw them on another forum and I think they are hideous. Besides the fact that I will never own a BEV, compared to almost any of their historical beautiful cars, these are uglier than the south side of a northbound cow....

Yeah, the pics are just renderings. Looks like they will go with a traditional long hood, short rear deck platform. I can tell you from experience from driving the EV9, which is the Kia full sized 3 row all electric SUV, that there is nothing sporty about driving a 7,000 pound vehicle. Electric vehicles are fast, for sure, lots of torque to throw ya into the seat back, but ya definitely don't want to be throwing a 7,000-pound vehicle around like it's a sports car. Not saying they all weigh that much, just going off of what I have experienced with the EV9, and I'm not bashing EVs, they have their place and the EV9 is a very nicely appointed vehicle, so there's my disclaimer. Lol.
I'm not exactly sure what market Jaguar is going after.

I don't get why an EV needs a big, long, hood. It seems like a huge waste of space compared to the Honda 0 EV

Reminds me of a brick. A mauve brick. Or the block that cub scouts build a pinewood derby car from.

Yeah, that Jag doesn't look very aerodynamic to me. Seems they would round the corners off a bit to make it a little more slippery, ya know, something like this!!!

Copy nothing.

And by “nothing,” they mean an MGB GT and a Z3 M Coupe.

I see some 944 there too.

Those look gay.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I still hope this is a joke.

I'm not worried for two reasons:
First, sneak preview images rarely provide an accurate depiction of the device imagined.
Second, never owned a Jag and never expect to.

Looks like Chrysler 300 meets clown shoe meets Cyber Truck meets graphics from 80s video games.

Somebody needs to warn those super trendy models not to touch the metal armrest in that hot Florida sun- they might get burnt.

Was this designed in India?

Looks like a cartoon villain’s car

Good luck with that…
