Id cut a relief in the boot liner yesterday...and then maybe a donut around the cut out

I saw the surgeon that did my knee a few years ago yesterday... He definately wants to pull out that screw (not his handywork) and confirmed Tobra's approach. We are going to try to get through this ski season and calving and then in late summer get that bugger out.

In the meantime, he showed me a trick similar to what Tim T suggested to minimize pain in the ski boot.

Don't be afraid to us a heat gun to really soften and mold as well as cut, shave and maybe drill to get the room you need. Easier if you have something like an Atomic Memory Fit shell.
