Not your typical Mustang cars and coffee outing 😅

What is the sale price of that Mustang?
I feel certain it is less than a Porsche GT3RS that back in 2022 did it in 6:44.848 It will be interesting to see the what the new 2025 GT3RS time will be. Sub 7 minutes is very fast for a street car. I wonder if and when Chevrolet Corvette monster 1,000+ HP car does it in. Mustang threw down the gauntlet for the Vette to try to beat. Not that any of that matters to a real world street driven daily driver. It seems funny that Ferrari's fastest time is 7:00:03 back in 2019. |

The application window for buying a Mustang GTD has long closed, with buyers paying an estimated starting price of $325,000 I just priced a GT3RS on porsche.com at $295k. From what I've heard, dealers are charging a huge premium over the MSRP to actually get one. I think I remember hearing that it's something like 100k or 150k. |

A guy told me a story. The company had filed chapter 11 and then hired in all new C-level execs contract to get the company back up to snuff. One guy had gone up to work on one of the C-guys' computer. When he walked in, the guy had a check stub on his monitor or something. The C-guy was making $620/hr, and was working plenty of OT which meant that he could potentially have a 2 week paycheck that was $40-50k. I heard that the guy ended up working 2400 hours for the year. At $620/hr, that's ~$1.5 million. If I was making that much money, I could conceivably spend $300k on a car. It's all about perspective. If you were Gates, Musk, Jobs, Bezos, then spending what you and I would consider obscene amounts of money for a car, boat, plane, whatever has a very different meaning. |

Probably the Mustang would be a good investment in the hands of guys like us. Your average Mustang owner will likely crash it in the first week, and very few left in going order in ten years time.

Wasn’t the original NSX ultimately a sales flop? Particularly near the end of its life?
Obviously the GTD can fly but the new Mustang hasn’t yet grown on me. I think the styling is too blocky and somewhat disjointed. I really liked the previous generation and would LOVE to have a GT350 in my garage. |

I don’t care who makes it, any modern supercar can kill you really fast. My neighbor’s 720S is painfully fast, and he’s not even pushing it.

Loved those cars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_NSX NSX means New Sportscar eXperimental so it is similar in naming convention to my "new" 1999 RAV4 which means Recreational Activity Vehicle. I think the 4 means how many tires. PM me and I'll send you pics. |
There’s a really great Hagerty video on YouTube with Jason Camisa talking about the history and development of the NSX, and how it wasn’t fully appreciated in its day. An NSX would be near the top of my dream car list.
