Dan Gurney Chevy Impala Race Car

I found this to be an interesting story. Apparently, this car was raced in Europe.

I can't wait until I have time to watch this. I'd love to have that car (well, one like it, even without the Gurney link).

Thanks for posting!

Finally got a chance to watch. Really fantastic. The steering is >6 turns lock to lock. Can you imagine road racing a can with steering that slow AND a giant vinyl bench seat? Holy moly!

Loved it! Bottom line, wouldn't let him race because he was too fast. Giddyup, 409!.

Pretty sure I saw a video of the 'Ring with a 63 or 64 Chevy running laps. It was a huge barge next to little 356's and similar.

Glad y'all liked it. I can imagine it would be very busy behind the wheel with all the sawing going on.
I also wasn't aware that Gurney was also a driver for Porsche early on.

Gurney won the 1962 French Grand Prix, his first F1 victory and Porsche's only F1 victory.
