you all familiar with Leukotape-P?
it is some magic tape. I think it is for sprains and stuff. I started using it for blisters while hiking. backpacking, I think it has stayed on my feet for 8 days. nasty, but it stayed. now I hike less in that capacity, but I still manage to cut myself on the regular.
I will use band-aid and then cover the entire thing with my leukotape. I can wash dishes, work on cars, wash my hands, whatever and it will not come off until I take it off. MAGIC. I have a section on my heel right now, where I think I stepped on something. I change this one daily, to medicate but dang it if this isn't the best tape ever. it stays put on my jogs, no problem. in Brazil, I used it to tape my fingers to protect blister from working the rod/reel so hard. and I was wet the entire time. just wanted to pass on this tip, if you are accident prone, or subject to sprains. I'm a fan!! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1736477689.jpg |
Wow. Where does one find this magic stuff?

Never heard of it. Sounds good though.

Thanks. I'm a bit klutzy and burn myself quite often. So I should buy some.

Looks like heavy-duty KT tape. I've carried something similar to that in my pack (called "mole skin") for blisters.
|
No but I will be ordering some, thank you. I typically do a bandaid covered in electrical tape if I’m wrenching and cut myself. This looks much better.

Yes, common tape in Europe and on the through hike trails in the US for blisters!
|
Does it rip all the hair off your arms and legs when you remove it? The rest of it sounds good.

Try Hypofix tape or shave around wounds for ^that^

I had to use some yesterday. putting together something with about 50 nyloc-nuts. spun them on with my impact. but to do so, I had to push the nuts into a 6-point hole that secures the fastener. these were SS nuts and they had rough crowns. the second one, I noticed red stuff on the product...it was BLOOD. I had spun round cuts into two fingers. bandaide, and L-Tape-P and I was back in business. the tape actually allowed me to hold the remaining 48 nuts without additional blood (or gloves) |
mole skin sucks for blisters. hard hiking, you put some on your toe, it comes off, works itself down to the heel, causes a pressure point,,,new blister.
this stuff will not move. |
