EIG Model 77 Apache Carbine, Japan
I had commented in a thread about the Daisy Red Ryder bb gun about a bb gun that my Pawpaw had. Well, this is it. I was at the cabin today, putting a new cover on the Hobie Cat and found the bb gun in the living room closet, and brought it home with me. This is the gun that Pawpaw shot the wasp with, and I have shot this thing hundreds of times. It is the most accurate bb gun I have ever shot. I can not seem to find any information online about this gun. Has anyone ever seen one of these or know anything about them? By the way, the metal parts are all silver and it has a plastic stock with a dummy or fake hammer.

I wanted to clean up the little bb gun, so I removed the plastic stock and found a couple of broken pieces of plastic on the inside. I can't believe the pieces had not been lost over the years. The stock had always been a little loose, probably because of the broken plastic. I used some epoxy and fixed the pieces back how they were supposed to be and after about 24 hours of curing, I put it all back together and the stock is now tightly affixed to the body of the gun. While I had it apart, I lightly polished the silver body of the gun. I didn't want to overdo it as I wanted to keep the character of the gun intact. The butt end of the stock has some missing material and I had thought about filling it in with some black epoxy, but I decided not to do it in order to keep the patina of this well used bb gun intact. I still have been unsuccessful in finding any information about this make and model of bb gun. All I know is that it is older than me, so yeah, it's pretty old. Hopefully, it will be around for at least another 60 years or so.
