Ads that grate on your nerves
 

For me it's those Oak St Health (CVS) ads. They manage to be both patronizing, insulting, and completely uninformative.

Progressive Insurance where they insult parents.

I want to become like my Mom and Dad raised me. They raised me to be respectful of our elders, unlike Progressive Insurance.

Where do I start? This one's especially irritating, but there are many others too.

All the whole-body deodorant ads...Joe Namath hawking hearing aids...Liberty Mutual...the list is long :rolleyes:

The fat women singing about diabetes. I hit the mute button every time it comes on.

The dawn platinum plus lady. Something so unsettling about it.

That Liberty commercial with the guy and the wax figure of himself, I absolutely hate those!!! Who comes up with that crap anyway?

My wife a I hit the mute button on every ad. It is the best device ever.

Especially this, but any pharma ad.

There has to be a back room person that sees me watch provacative dancing teenagers on Tik Tok and crashes that against my 68 years of age and says "Send it".

We have 14 different law firms telling us how much money they have made for clients. These ads run all day long. Most have a "jingle" of some type. I remember from a class on advertising, if you have nothing intelligent to say, sing it.

Yes! A bunch of fat people marching down the street for no reason. Though I do enjoy the WTF list of side effects.

And singing, why the hell are they always singing?

The SUV ads where, the current Santa Fe ad is a prime example, the SUV is being thrashed through streams, puddles, and jacking down dirt roads without a care in the GD Tie Rod World.

It's getting difficult to buy good radios to listen to while working in the garage. But the first requirement is a remote with a mute button. You gotta be quick-draw-McGraw or be inundated with Low T "Hey Bill, Haven't seen ya at the gym lately...Zap!!! And pity those with bad maculas who end up paying for the blanket ads for izervay.

I don't need to see another Progressive or Liberty Mutual ad .
