Avion upgrades

So, the Avion has a crack in the gas line in the water heater. OK, she was looking at tankless anyway instead of a 6 gallon tank.

Looking at the Truma Comfort series. The unit we are looking at has eco mode where it is a straight up tankless. Comfort mode where it has a buffer of hot water to use while the heater kicks on with the water flow. Uses more propane to keep the water hot though, but many reports say it is minimal as in a 20# tank will last a month of camping with long showers. The top end also circulates the hot water so it is instant heat. Would be great for saving water boondocking, but would use more power. Not sure it is worth paying for that really. They also have a self cleaning/descaling mode which saves a lot on maintenance with the hard water in this area.

Question. Anything better out there or are these really good units?

Second thing we are looking at are the flexible solar panels from Renogy. We have two 200ah batteries and 3500w inverter from them. It isn't enough to run A/C, but lasts a long time otherwise. I like the flexible because I can mount them on top with a very small air gap and follow the form of the trailer. Won't do rigid. Would rather suffer with a generator. Looks like we can fit this kit on top of the 34 footer. Will need the controller too, and if the trailer is at the house and charged, can I put that solar back into the house?

Third is a 12v compressor fridge. What is a good brand? Have a quote on one from the local RV place that seems decent and did a good job going through the unit for us. Dometic I believe is the brand from them. I know they are used everywhere and are decent.

Some before and after stuff. The rock guard had fallen off at one point and was broken. Glassed it back up and painted it. 3 times actually. 3rd time was Duplicolor and did so much better. The unit sat next to a corn field for a couple years. Just had the brakes and bearings done. All 12 shocks too. Ouch.

The rep from Kentucky built and runs his off-grid house with Tesla batteries.
