Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
It's been close to 10 years since Rury Road came out and on and off during Furiosa I found myself comparing the two. Is it better than Fury Road? Will have to watch it again to find out.
As you would expect it's non-stop action, story was OK as an origin (it could have been written better), Anya Taylor Joy, whom I've liked in many movies, got to show a completely different side of herself, same with Chris Hemsworth. I think it could have used more of her and her development. Movie went on forever which in this case was great. Scenes that would have been half developed or simply half length in other movies were intense adrenaline driven freeforalls that you were glad for their continuous thrust. Sometimes the CGI was great other times it was a little low budget. No idea what happened there.

Oh baby, I’m going to the theater for this one. I like the look of it.
Remember those “quick-time” scenes from the original Mad Max? I’m sure there’s an official name for it, but I loved those. I saw it at a midnight show in 1982.

That looks great!
I really enjoyed Fury Road, Charlize and Tom Hardy were fantastic.

Just my opinion, the whole Mad Max thing should have ended after Road Warrior.
Jumped the shark after that. Especially Fury Road. Couldn't even watch it halfway through. .

JMHO- If stuck on a desert island, I'd rather watch MAd MAx remakes than star wars remakes.
That said, I'd like to see Furiousa kick Rey's butt! ![]() ![]() ![]() edit... and if Rey turned around and kicked out some new jedi stuff on Furiousa, that'd be OK by me too!!! All good!

As long as we're piping in with our preferences.......
I enjoyed the first 3..."Mad Max", "The Road Warrior", and "Beyond Thunderdome".....so much so in fact that it would be hard to find the same level of enjoyment with anything else that followed. Those 1st 3 were the gold standard. Hard act to follow....and rightly so. I'll still watch but really hard to get too excited, if that makes sense......

I finally got around to watching Furiosa because it's on Netflix. It's OK. I thought Fury Road was much better. It's an OK origin story for her, but not great.

I couldn’t sit through fury road. Story didnt flow for me and the cgi hurt my eyes.
Furiosa though: wow! Movie clicked for me and i sat through it happy and drank in the goodness. Last stupid movie that i enjoyed as much was 2012. |

Agreed. I saw this on the plane, and although all plane movies are already better than staring out the window, I thought it was absolutely great...

I saw this in a cinema with my family (I've been a Mad Max fan since the first movie).
This movie was every bit as good as "Mad Max: Fury Road" and in some ways better.

**********WARNING SPOLIERS AHEAD!!!*************
I broke it up into two viewings. Thought it was fantastic, especially from the War Rig attack by Octoboss forward! Only two nits...... Didn't think they should have included the "Fury Road" clips at the end. And it sucks that Praetorian Jack was killed off. Thought he and Furiosa made a great couple!

I enjoyed it. I just didn't think it was as good as Fury Road which I thought was excellent. It seemed like there were a lot of plot holes and things that happened that they just let drop that probably would have been a big deal.
I liked the nod to the original. And it was a shame that they both didn't live even if they were somehow forever separated or something.
