Quick Sea Story:

I can derive her mood dependent on the composer she is listening to: Beethoven, all is well; if the music sounds like the Russians crossing the steppe in winter: "Honey, what do you want me to pick up for dinner?"

Me?

Ramsey.

Did you know that he was heavily influenced by classical piano? He was a fan of Vladimir Horowitz and Rudolf Serkin.

I am blessed that much of the time at work I get to listen to the radio or youtube, two such pieces I've played over and over, for you fans of Mozart.

<iframe width="1280" height="763" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yM8CFR01KwQ" title="Mozart: Concerto for piano and Orchestra (d-minor) K.466, Uchida" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Mozart - Lacrimosa but humanity has ended

Paganini.

Makes Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page look like amateurs.

Whats a composer? :D

I love Mahler for basically being a death metal composer.

I love Chopin for basically being a thrash punk rocker with his Preludes

But, Wagner and his Ring Series is my thing. Prog rock meets doom rock meets progressive storytime rock. 16 hours of Dungeons and Dragons fun!

Henry Mancini;)

I confess I’m 100% a music consumer - not a student nor a connoisseur. I have stopped paying much attention to the news and started listening to more music, but can’t tell one composer from another.

No favorite, per se, I have favorite pieces from most of them I can't live without. I probably listen to Vivaldi more than the rest, especially The Four Seasons.

Got a Gershwin CD (Rhapsody...) and a Rachmaninoff CD I've nearly worn out.

Erakad 03-05-2025 06:12 AM

Beethoven
Mozart
Gershwin

Contemporary composer, I listen a bit to David Lang.
Simple patterns become complex, yet relaxing.
It's about all my brain can handle these days.;)

If you want to talk about musicians. My older brother is the best guitarist I have ever seen in real life, and I saw David Gilmour live twice.
