Karaoke song.
Quickly!
You are out and about. Suddenly! you are out on stage and required to sing a Karaoke song. What do you sing? I'm going for "Song Sung Blue" by Neil Diamond. Purely cheesy and awesome at the same time. You get one song only. Go! (and why) edit... any random real life Karaoke experience also welcome...

It was at a friend's birthday party. He said "no gifts, but tell a story, read a poem or sing a song." So three of us dressed up 1970's style with long hair (as the birthday boy had hair back in those days) and we sung our little hearts out.

"Rawhide" in the style of Jake and Elwood Blues.
Or "Tequila", depending on my mood. There's karaoke versions of most songs on Youtube if you search for 'em. |

Do you want audience participation to take pressure off you?

The funny thing is that exact scenario happened to me recently . . .
My song? “My Way” as performed by Frank Sinatra. Somehow I like to tell myself it is a synopsis of my life. Apparently there is a video of the performance out there.

I'd have to pick "Feelings"....
Or a Chuck Berry song...and get audience participation... "My Ding-A-Ling" "Those of you ... who will not sing ... must be playing with yer .... "No chance tho' ... dead men can't sing ... and they'd have to drag me into a Karaoke place

I've only done karaoke once. A birthday party for German friends and they set me up with 99 Red Balloons (English version).
I might try Tom Cochran's "Life is a Highway" for laughs. Best Les

I stick with songs for people that can't sing, like this one.

My Way. I'd either get applauded or get shot. (Running joke in the Philippines. People get killed for singing My Way badly.)
