The reason they were denied is truly shameful.

Why is that?

Hmmm, I think I know where this going. I’ll try my google-fu and if nothing pops up, I will parf it.

Here is a pretty good rundown on the controversy without taking it to PARF

I'm watching an actual replay of the whole splash down, and I don't understand why they keep saying it splashed down off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida? Tallahassee isn't on the coast.

Thanks for the link flipper. I had found another arstechnica piece but it not nearly as informative as this one. I love the last sentence that says the presidents interest added energy to the conversation.

That reads like a NASA press release has a fair amount of misinformation in it.

I wish I could disagree, but this is gobbledygook::

NASA has not directly answered questions about this over the last month. However, the people who really know the answer lie within the human spaceflight programs at the space agency.

This is unmitigated Bravo Sierra:

Bowersox confirmed that the decision was made at the programmatic level.

No decision of this gravity at NASA is made at the "programmatic level".

More later. NASA has been boldly going where men and women have been before on other peoples rockets for a long time.

They have remarkable PR folks.

Defend the king and his court at all costs. Same loyalists, different forum. Nothing changes around here.

HobieMarty 03-19-2025 02:46 PM

Politics aside, can we just focus on the good that has been done here for just once? It was a successful mission, people are back with their families, and there were freaking dolphins!!!! [emoji2]
