Phoenix PD pulls over driveless car for driving in oncoming lanes

WTF do you do as a cop when you pull over a car that doesn't have a driver?

Officer was too nice. Should have required a responsible person to appear.

IMHO That car should be disabled and impounded.

Fines go to owner.

I was thinking along the same lines. The cars should be towed and then a real person should have to come down to get the car, and fines should be imposed.

The car could have killed someone else.
Worse than a drunk driver.

Garage
Shoot out the tires so it can't be moved without some effort in person.
Traffic fines should be double in a construction zone.

It does beg the question of who is accountable?

Registered owner certainly, but what about the builder of the self-driving software/vehicle?

Mind you, being sane I would not get into a car without a driver.

When i was going to Arizona state, they killed some lady on the back side of campus by Tempe town lake. The car kept going like nothing happened and it took police work to find it.

Tbh, I’m tired of it being beta tested in AZ and hurting Arizonians.
