Plasti Dip
Anyone use on something other than rims? I like to use before I actually paint but have only used on rims. Would it work on a painted front window frame and would removal be a problem. On rims it’s easy to remove.

I used plastic-dip on the fender and running boards of my Jeep TJ. The coating lasted maybe a couple of years? I know a few guys who’ve used it on window trim over chrome. Didn’t look bad at all and probably wouldn’t be hard to chip off if necessary.

I got it done on plastic trim in my Cayman frunk. Did a carbon fibre look turned out really well. Hydro dip though not the spray on kind

Thought plastidip was the liquid rubber stuff you could put tool handles etc in to rubber coat them?

Based on mostly wheels and some trim pieces, I'd say yes but depends how thick... The thicker, the easier to take it off... Thin coats are a $%$#%$#% to remove, in that case you'll be using chemicals and elbow grease. Thick coats, cake, even oddly satisfying. Window frame, I would try - small risk.

I used it on the chrome emblems on my Tundra and it looks real nice.

Used it on the door handles of my 350Z. Actually lasted quite a few years but when I removed it, it took some of the original "chrome" finish off, as well. There was clearly a chemical reaction there as the chrome was pretty thoroughly bubbled. Ended up having to replace the handles.
