Willow Springs
heard at the Thermal race that Willow Springs has been sold to the same group of yahoos who own Thermal, plus Richard Petty. Comments were that the Streets are going away among other changes. Are they turning this into another rich bozo playground?

I rather like the Spring Mountain Nevada template. They have a pretty good mix of membership track space, condos, garages, and rental to outside car clubs for Racing, HPDE, and Time Trials.
I probably have 5000 laps at Willow Springs between both tracks and I do hope they keep Streets. It is an excellent novice teaching course to run HPDE events. A bit too tight for Club Racing though.

Every contracted venue operator on site has been given 30 days notice.
Here's one; I broke someone's windshield with rocks on the track once @ turn 6, years later it happened to me @ over 100 mph on the straight, Karma I knew was coming some day, but WOW what a shock that was. I saw @ turn 9 why you have straps on rear windows. More carnage to my race car than all the other tracks I've been to, the high speed turns are a true test of car & driver and it is and always will be "the fastest track in the west"

I sure would like to see Porsche Motorsports cut a deal with Willow Springs like was done with BMW @ Thermal. Doing this for their SoCal market would pencil out.
BTW hello Patrick Long, Jay Leno & Jerry Seinfeld please plant the seed and make them see the light.
