My Dad's 1955 Studebaker Speedster, likely one of the best in the world
Hey dudes, been a while! Got the 911 out for the first rip of spring the other day! Thought some of you might appreciate this video I put together on my dad's 55 Studebaker Speedster. I hope you dig it

Very cool. My dad had a 53 couple (he always said "Starliner Coupe" but all the photos he showed me were of a Commander Coupe) that I never got to see in person. He sold it to buy my mom a washer and dryer (and never let her forget it). I have looked for that car - never found it.

Hey, it's great to see you posting! When someone drops off, we never know why, and always prefer that you've just been busy or taking a break.
Beautiful car, thanks for posting! It's a little dirty, especially on the bottom! You need to get to cleaning. How's the Jag? The garage is not sporting a Jag, just a USS Caddy and a modern Buick.

Is that 6volt? If so, wow! It started very nicely!

Jag is down but not out; clutch reservoir failed, and it was hard to find. Almost done installing the new one, need to machine a pin for it to connect to the pedal. After that, not sure what I'm doing with it; migth be selling that one too! The garage in the video is from my dad's house, so it has his buick and caddy in it as well. Caddy might go too. Idfk. I have too many cars right now (12!!!)

Very Nice example. As for the nomenclature mentioned by Fanaudical, The "Starliner" part refers to it being a pillarless coupe, and A V8 Starliner would be a Commander Starliner. The 6 cylinder version would be a Champion Starliner. The pillared coupe was referred to as a Starlite coupe, both Commander and Champion.

Very nice example you have there.
I've only ever ridden in this car: ![]() It belongs to a neighbor friend of mine. I imagine it drives/rides a lot like your dads does. Good luck with your auction.

Nice car!!
A guy I knew at work had a Studebaker that was old and much rougher. It had the ignition start underneath the gas pedal..... just step on it to start it. Is this one like that?
