I turned 50 last week and realized….
 

I realized I have been on pelican since my late 20’s. :eek:Damn where does the time go. I still have the same 75 targa since the beginning. I guess it turns 50 this year too, July 11 to be exact. I haven’t been active lately on the forums but it might be time to dive into making this car right and making some posts.

I guess I don’t have a point in this thread other than looking back at how young I was when I first found this site. This place has always been a good resource for just about everything. Hope you all had a happy Easter.

I also have a '75 Targa (built Nov '74) but have only had the car and been here on Pelican since 2010. I've found lots of help here.

I've been here for a couple of years, but it feels like a lot more. It's like I'm closely orbiting a black hole.

Fifty... I've got ties older than that.

I came to Pelican with a 325IS. Maybe a 1993? This would be in about 2002 or so. I thought the Porsche guys were insane fanatics.

Pelican is the first website I ever joined. It's still the only one I look at regularly, though I mostly sort of zoom in and back out and never engage in controversial topics. I only look at other sites when I have some specific reason. Over the years I've spent less time on the tech site, for sale site, etc. and mostly look at off topic. I joined Palican at the young, tender age of 59. I wouldn't mind going back to those days.

And realized you are just a puppy with plenty of good years ahead of you. Happy birthday Chris.

Time doesn't stand still for anyone , no matter what's going on it just clicks along . I joined Pelican 12/30/2002 and have never regretted doing so . Have made several " internet friends " and we as a group have shared a lot . Still a great forum .

25 years ago I bought the old E and found Pelican while searching for parts and service information. I had fun with the car and the experience of caretaker of the vehicle. However I passed it on to another after 10 years. (Wisely avoiding the increase in value :rolleyes:) It is interesting how many of us old hands have stuck around on Off Topic. I appreciate the breadth of experience and the depth of knowledge which is here for the asking.
