What is this?
 

I’m building houses in a gated community and I see this device on the back of a light pole, as I enter the neighborhood.

My truck has a pass/RFID on the windshield, which you have to get from the ARB, giving them the make, model, year, license plate.

It looks like a camera to catch speeders, with the license plate or RFID.

Dunno, but I'm sure it would be worth something on ebay.

Those big led arrays are NIR for low light illumination for the camera.

Speed Cam.. License plate reader...

Why its mounted so close to the ground is a total fail...

Just stop behind it and slap some tape on the lense(s) .... Help your neighbors out...

We had a guy here on Long Island that used to use a long pole to re-aim red light cameras...

Unfortunately he got caught

If going this route, leave your cell phone at home….

LOL. I missed that.

As you drive in the neighborhood, you first pass by a radar, that shows your speed. If you’re 25 and below, it shows a happy face. If over 25, it says slow down.

Shortly after that, is the speed camera on the backside of a light pole.

I don’t speed in the neighborhood, so I don’t have anything to worry about…
