Women got half the money and all the *****. I prefer looking out into the open spaces towards the door usually. If I'm somewhat close to the door I will prefer looking into the open restuarant. I let fellow diners choose the seat they want as I don't buy for the other old guys meeting me at Denny's and can't demand the best seat. I definitely let the female sit where she prefers. So many things we do subconsciously. I went to eat with a co-worker on a road trip. After the food comes he says "Dude, you are guarding your food". He was an only child and never had the fear of siblings taking food away. Never had a clue I did that and I don't know what my mannerismas were but they were loud and clear to him. |
Was taught from a young age to always be aware of what's going on around me. I always look around to see who's in a place, where the exits are, and I always try to sit facing the entrance.

As I stated before, I've never really thought much about this, but I am always aware of my surroundings.
Funny thing, I am sitting in my den, and my recliner end of this sofa is in line so that I can see down the hall so that I can see if anyone is heading this way. I can also see out the kitchen window where there is a hickory tree with a bluebird house on it, so I can see when a bird goes in and out of the house. At home in my office, my computers have me facing away from the door. My wife can look in as she walks down the hall, and see what I am dong. I have zero fear of someone sneaking up behind me.
The way the room is laid out, with the closet in one corner, there is no other way to put my computers and printer in the furniture except the way it is now. |
I don't think about it.
|
99% of the time, I never even think about it. I try to be reasonably situationally aware and if I was in a sketchy place I may think differently, but most of the time it never even crosses my mind. And I try to avoid sketchy places/areas :)

Ya, that's Maple. She's my gal's "emotional support animal", she takes her everywhere ...... Not generally a fan of small dogs but she is super sweet and is good with my dog and cat. Pisses me off sometimes cause I'm not a fan of dogs in grocery stores n such. Mape was very popular at the event, but as soon as it got underway it was waaay too loud, so she was taken back out to my truck to sit it out. |

When you go to places like thesehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1745995196.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1745995229.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1745995229.jpg And no, Linda-Lou wasn’t there. |
I like to see the door. Not a deal killer, but a preference.
Probably from watching Sopranos, Casino, Godfather movies..... |
Kinda. I also always check people's behaviors in public places, especially train stations or airports, like did they drop a bag under a seat and leave... I guess that's what growing up around with varying terrorism in my youth did to me ;-(
