Extremely Large Hooters!
Now that I have your attention, will a 1974 ssi rs style exhaust and retrofit 'early style' retrofit oil lines removed from a 1989 cabriolet fit on a 1978 911 sc?
I have heat exchangers from a 74' on my SC, and early oil lines, they fit fine. you will notice a nice increase in performance. :)
Thank you for the response. This particular exhaust however is off of an '89 that is a '74 "style". If you know if it would fit PLEASE let me know.
Yes it fits.
Now, can we get back to those hooters? |
I believe the "EARLY STYLE" heat exchangers or "SSI" or "SSI STYLE" heat exchangers will fit on the 2.4, 2.7, 3.0 and 3.2. That covers 1972 thru 1989 (I think :)) Bruce Anderson recommends them and this mod seems to be REAL popular. Unless you have MFI (and you probably dont) you should be ok. I have read that they are too restrictive for a 3.6, some would argue the same for a 3.2. The oil lines should fit just fine.
bite me Johnny
What exactly are you installing ??? There might be an issue with the flange thickness if the units coming off of the 3.2 were thin flanged (owner of the 3.2 would have had to change out exhaust studs, but you never know).
Wow, what a tease.........
O.k. guys, thanks for the info. It is much appreciated. As for the hooters, I asked this same question (78 exhaust compatibility) two pages ago and got 39 views and 0 replies. So sex does sell! 408 views and 6 replies. Sorry, I was desperate. I promise in the future to only use hooters for good and not for evil.
And to BLOWN: I'm not biting anything you got, buddy. |
OK .. here is a good front end shot
Here is a front end shot, that has some nice flares ... I just wanted to help keep this thread topic on subject .. LOL

Thanks Joe for bringing this on subject, I think. yikes
I think the inflation pressure is way over factory spec.
but is she's ever in a front end collision, she'll never feel it! |
How does she find Middle C?
Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!
Uh, Next time could we go with something more like average size really perky hooters instead of the current thread? |
Driver and passenger airbags!
I dont know how you guys feel about her .. but to me she is built for speed and comfort ;)
Joe |
She's obviously waiting for the fire department to arrive with the jaws of life to get her arms unstuck.
Please tell me that's photoshop.
Nope .. Them's the real thing .. Got Milk ?? ... hahaha
The Carrera SSI's will be the thick flange type.
The SC's will most likely be thin flange. The PET shows the same heat exchanger part #'s for '78-'83. -Chris |
My exhaust system and stud lengths are "thick flange." On an '83 SC. So, the thin flange early exhaust can work fine, but thick washers may be needed under the nuts.
I wouldn't want to try using thin anything on those bumpers, however. |
Looks like the front to rear weight balance is way off.
can you imagine how much she pushes through the corners? |
I dunno...seems to me that with those aftermarket headers, she probably rides pretty rough.
I believe that her arms are in that position to hold them up!!!!
"Got Milk?" I don't think my fridge is big enough for those...
HOLY MACKEREL!
Isn't anyone listening??
Small to average and VERY perky Real is better. |
Hooters
That gal is gonna need a back brace soon.....
Actually if you look at the face .. well and the boobs too :)
it looks like the same girl to me.But she does meet the Min. size requirements.... -Joe- |
I don't think she'll be running any marathons anytime soon.
Man, I hope those were done with Photoshop. Scary.
