Cuckoos Nest is so so good. Just pulls at every thread of humanity in your soul.

Nothing will ever dissapoint more than any Highlander sequel !
At least the reboot has a shot at being decent !

Indy Jones 2 and 4 come to mind, but there have been only a few others.

I would say Howard the Duck, but mom took me to see it and I had no clue until we got there.

Ecks vs Sever. I wasn't really expecting it to be a blockbuster, but it was an action flick where Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu were secret agents. I expected a movie with those two in it to be entertaining (eg, Zorro, 13th Warrior, Charlies Angels, Elementary). It was REALLY horrible. I don't remember anything about it other than at the end I remember thinking that they spent all of the money on music and SFX and none on script or direction.

TITANE the quote at 44 seconds says it all. It could have been great but it was so over the top in every single way, even I couldn't get into it.

The trailer looks like the movie was dreamed up by a 15yo schizophrenic boy while jacked up on drugs.

"Taken 2" sucked.

Watched "Nonnas" this weekend with Vince Vaughan. It's like every formulaic feel good movie all rolled into one. So much so it was nauseating.

Right? What a POS. The budget went to the food, not the script, the sets or the direction, and it made me think that every single actor in it was happy just to be getting any work at all.

Once upon a time in Hollywood. I'm a Tarantino fan so going into it I had high hopes and instead I got nearly 3 hours of -I don't know what- with a quick little Tarantino bloody mess towards the end. Such a pile of garbage.

Yes, watch it every few years. My girl had never seen it, so I "made" her watch it with me. She's in her early 40's so had never really heard of it. She loved what she stayed awake for.

If you've never watched Being There, the Sellers flick give it a shot. Prolly my favorite moving of all time. He won an Oscar for it, and if you decide to try it watch the credits, the outtakes are a riot. Supporting actors and set crew laughing at Chauncy mid scene are great.

This thread, not so much.

For me, QT movies are always a little on the whacky side. They are usually decent, but for me are 80-90% good with another 10-20% whacky/over-the-top/miss. I have a feeling that he's a bit of a nut.

OUaTiH was OK, but not great. It was actually a bit less whacky than some of his other movies, but also a bit more bland. It was interesting getting a glimpse into a past time and place (a bit before my time).

Looks like there is something we can agree on. Love Being There.

If you like sellers, check out my other 2 favorite movies with him: The Party and I Love You Alice B. Toklas
