I’m glad you’re ok. Thanks for sharing

No other symptoms . In 2015 during a routine prostate exam my doctor didn't like what he felt . Add to that the rising PSA score off to the urologist I went . The rest is history . Back then and even now I never get up in the night to pee . I am an odd case :D

Link to where you read that?

I'm suggesting your real-world experience is slight to nonexistent, so you had to read about it somewhere......

They do tell you to get off your bike, motorcycle & the Mrs. at least 3 days before your blood sample is to be served up.

Maybe I missed it in this thread (edit: I see I did, because the 3 preceding posts are on page 2 for me, which I didn't see when I posted this response), but prior to your most recent PSA check, when was the last time you, um, ejaculated? That stimulates the prostate, which will then raise the PSA level. So, ideally, you don't have any relations for a week prior to your blood test. A DRE (digital rectal examination) can also raise your PSA, so avoid that part of the physical exam right before the phlebotomy. Or if you rode a bicycle or something else like that.

I'd re-test. I wouldn't ignore it, because you're right: it's a precipitous jump from what has been "normal" for you.

Thanks. I will retest. Had no idea about “activity” raising the level. I can’t remember my day to day activity from a few weeks ago but I’m sure I wasn’t taking it easy in order to get ready for the test

Establish your Gleason score. That is a combination of your PSA and the results from the biopsy. It will indicate the level of aggressiveness of the cancer.

Don’t take my word for it though, you can Google your question and read the research articles.

I don't have any questions my man, only answers. Been being treated for an enlarged prostate for 5 or so years. Did you read any of this thread where I share some of my experiences with the OP?

Or, did you simply want to use your extensive vocabulary to call getting laid some 50-cent word?

Get your prostate checked yearly. I lost my best friend from high school at age 57, nine years ago. He fought it for five years. Every time I work on the cars, I think of him. RIP 79Coupe.
