Looks pretty remarkable, tail rotor gone. managed to land with only damage to a skid. |
Speaking of helicopters. Yes! I was just talking to Vicki about helicopters just this morning.
We were having coffee, admiring her flower garden and listening to the birds, and I said, "What if a helicopter crash-landed in our front yard?" I'm in for observation now, but I expect to be released soon. |
Neat stuff.
Great piloting regardless of what happened to cause the emergency landing. Tip of the hat. Any landing you can... |
Pilot apparently felt a yaw, decided to set it down on a residential street, and as he flared the tail rotor left the building, resulting in the hard landing in the yard and the busted left gear. Great job, everyone walked away.
