DoD Training in North Jersey Suburb
Just got a notification from the town PD that the DoD will be conducting training one night this week that may include blank gunfire, booms, or helicopters. Training will be conducted between 6pm and 3am.
We do have some green space but nothing more than 3/4 mile from residences. Is this a thing or something new? |

We see plenty of military stuff flying low here but certainly never heard we were hosting war games.

ooh get all your 5.11 clothing out and strap a pepper spray to your leg and use the word 'operator' a lot in conversation while they're in town! Oh and anything you own with molle webbing....get that stuff out and hang it on your car seat in a conspicuous manner.
Basically anything you can do to look and act like the d-bag bad guys in that second (or third?) Equalizer movie would be good. Please also ask your spouse or neighbor to follow you with a camera at all times as this is going on.

I remember reading about this tragedy when the final army special forces exercise (Robin Sage) went bad. It is a simulation in a real town. My son went through it in 2021.

Living just the other side of the ridge between me and Picatinny we're accustomed to BOOM! and choppers going over head low enough to feel it in our chest.
