Savagegeese is the best car channel on Youtube

On the C5. LOL, this is awesome. Their BMW E90 M3 review are hilarious as well

My neighbor has a C6 vert and just spent about $9000 fixing a split gas tank on the left side. While they were in there, they installed a new fuel pump, a transfer tube, etc. It’s a nice looking car, but they drive it very little.

A C2 vert in light blue with a white top, was my dream car, when I was a kid.

Transfer tube in fuel system is a complete PITA if it leaks. $9K tho. that's almost triple what it would cost. Must've been the stealer that did it.

The dealer wanted even more money.

The C5's styling has not aged as well, except in the Z06 version. C6s still look handsome and hjave crisp lines. My neighbor recently bought one (c6) and the mod bug has hit, so I go wonder over to his place and see the latest bolt-ons. It's a nice car.

I'd like to own one, simply for the bang for buck but I agree the interior is too much GM parts bin** and the front nose cone is too plastic looking.

**Interesting tidbit I read or heard somewhere. When Ferdinand Piech took over at VW, he also saw the obvious value in parts sharing across platforms but took a different approach in spending the R&D money for the top shelf brands and then allowing economy of scale to allow those to trickle down.

The whole pop-up headlights (gimmick), excessive overhangs and silly nose length/size design cues were dated by the time C5 came out. There HAD to be a better defining factor then that for a Corvette.

I'm not actually a fan of Corvettes in general. I am a fan of the C6.

To prove my point the front suspension ass'y on the C1 was found under a lot of Chevy's including the 1/2 T truck up to '54, IIRC. The C2 was and still is a looker. Not one C3 moved me at all. '68 to '83 was a far too long run. (I know the stats say that the run was from '67 to '82 and there is officially no 1983 Corvette.)

For me the C1 is the best looking one and the C2 is a close second. Not that it matters I don't have the money for either.

The ultimate C2

Cheap compared to the typical LS swap. This thing is just nuts. Wish I had the cash.
