Good news! Wanted to share.
Sometimes posting a goal on PPOT somehow makes it real. Legitimizes it. Makes it so I can’t quit. Plus some of you are BUDS. Friends I’ve never met. Yet.
Anyways. I got an email from my doctor. She told me to continue to monitor my BP at home and occasionally get it read at the clinic downstairs. But she TOOK ME OFF MY BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS! I walked it back. Jogged it back. It’s weird, I thought I would be more excited. But nervous I suppose. This upcoming October will be one year of daily jogging. (Except the days I fish). No exceptions except one day of lightning and very heavy rains. Maybe two missed days in due to weather and a few from the flu. It’s a burning habit at this point.

Sweet! Congrats! That's a huge step, and a goal. Next goal, keep up the new lifestyle so she never suggests getting back on the meds!

Congrats, Cliff,on that and keepig up your exercise. Has your doctor said anything about years later on. I'm on a BP med for mildly elevated blood pressure. My doc said it's common with age. Good luck to you.

Fantastic!
It is really rare to reverse the symptoms of the American lifestyle. And you did. My hat is off to you sir! |

That’s great news! I’m jealous, but until I get a new used kidney stuffed in me it’s BP meds.
Enjoy it! |

Well done, my friend.
The immediate goal has been met. For many, the hardest part is maintaining. Don't mess it up!
