Mel Brooks...at it again.

Spaceballs 2 set for theaters in early 2027....40 years after the original Spaceballs.
Bill Pullman and most of the original cast are due to return, including Mel Brooks as Yogurt. (excepting Joan Rivers and John Candy)

He's going to be 99 this month, I hope he gets to see the opening and it is successful.

I started to watch the 'History of the World' Part 2', couldn't get into it, reviews not good.

^^^
Yeah, he had others in that time period that I didn't especially like either.
But when he makes a good one...it's usually a great one.

I'll need to see SB 1 again...I remember it being funny, but it's been almost 40 years. I like Bill Pullman in any movie.

Laughter has kept Mel Brooks young, well that and a lot of money but I'm sure not taking himself too seriously and having fun all these years has helped. I hope he lives to 150, we need more guys like him.

I would think Mel's scenes would be shot first just in case . I hope he makes it .

As I think about it, I've never seen spaceballs in 1 sitting. Flipping through channels I've caught some of it, but never sat down to watch the movie.

Looking at his list, I also haven't seen Dracula:Dead and Loving It & Robin hood:men in tights

Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are 2 of my favorite comedies.

Have you ever seen "High Anxiety" or "History of the World Pt 1"?

I think I can get through about 80% of Spaceballs word-for-word without hints so I have pretty high expectations

Anne Bancroft was quite a catch. They met before she did the Annie Sullivan (Miracle Worker) movie in 1962 and stayed married until she passed in 2005.

Young Frankenstein is in my top ten favorite movies. The only comedy.

As to age, you got the genes or you don't. A friend's aunt turned 100 last week and the aunt said at the gathering "Whose birthday is it?. Oh, it's mine, I'm 100" Mel's doing pretty good to be able to do something this complex.

Yes. Multiple times. All his others also. Including 12 chairs and producers, and audio of 2000 year old man.
