OKC Thunder

I have not spent any real time watching the NBA other than recording the playoffs and high-lights on ESPN in years.

I have no issues with the folks playing or the style of play, it just isn't that interesting to me.

The Pacers and the Thunder? It is like watching my Catholic HS team if we had any speed, could shoot, the talent thing, etc..

That and Jalen Williams is the Truth: Perspective, talent and a seemingly excellent teammate.

It is exhausting to watch and I am here for it.

I went to 14 games this year. A friend had season tickets and he sold me his tickets to games he couldn't make. He has gone to all the playoff games.

The atmosphere is spectacular, more like a college gsme vs a pro game. Best in the NBA.

They are truly a team that plays hard of both ends of the court. It has been a magical season with numerous all time season records. I hope they can finish it off.

Actually, SGA is the truth.

The whole squad, frankly...Holmgren, Caruso, Dort, etc.: They all just seem to be excellent teammates, not always how it works.

The Pacers are excellent as well. Very enjoyable series.

Downtown OKC is rocking on game days. All the restaurants and bars in Bricktown must be loving all the people in the area. People literally from all over the world have come to town to spend money and watch the games.

The city is paying for a new billion dollar arena right next to the current arena. They are tearing down the arena built in the 1980s, and building the new one there.

It all came to pass because of hurricane Katrina. The New Orleans team had to come to OKC to play some games as their stadium was destroyed. The basketball fans filled the stadium. Now we have a team that is on the verge of a championship.

I don't watch any regular season basketball and only keep one eye on the play-offs unless the Warriors are playing.

We have received 8.81 inches of rain so far in June. Regularly the storms arrive at night.

The Thunder is a good name for the team, and we have had lot of the sound effects of the thunder.

The interviews on the SVB show (the only ESPN show I can watch) on all the Thunder players got me hooked.

If their sensibilities and outlook to "team" are an act, Meryl Streep is at forward.

Ya'll didn't think we wouldn't have a Game 7, did ya?

911boost 06-19-2025 07:45 PM

I am pulling for Haliburton

Seahawk 06-20-2025 01:58 AM

First Finals game 7 since 2016.

I am here for it!

GH85Carrera 06-20-2025 05:37 AM

It will be incredibly loud in "loud city" on game 7. Downtown was packed at many watch parties all over the area.

My wife and I had a "date" night yesterday, and we went to see the last Mission Impossible. Good movie. After the movie we went to Chicken & Pickle which is right next door. That place is huge, and pickle ball players were on all the courts. We had to struggle to find a seat, as the place was just packed with people in their Thunder gear and all watching the pre-game broadcast. We ate and left.

^this, how is it not called? Using his elbow like that.

Tobra 06-21-2025 05:14 AM

NBA is pro-offense, because stupid people think that is more exciting. They also choose who they want to promote

Look at how Steph Curry gets treated compared to Lebron James, with respect to officiating.

Who do those guys have shoe contracts with again?

Baz 06-22-2025 03:13 PM

Here we go....Game 7 about to start on ABC!

Baz 06-22-2025 07:36 PM

Final score: 103-91

Congrats to the Thunder!

Too bad Halibuton couldn't play for Indiana but that's the way it goes sometimes.

911boost 06-22-2025 08:54 PM

Yeah that sucked, hopefully his injury isn’t too severe.
