(Reply Y and re-open this message to click the link, or copy it to your browser.)" Don't fall for this nonsense. |
UGH! I've been getting those "DMV" texts for several months now. I can't help wonder how many people actually fall for it.

The link in the first post is the scam link. You should delete it.

I received an email the other day that the title said " we have deposited $13,964.99 into your account " . I didn't open it , marked it as spam and moved on .

I just tried to order a 100 roll of Forever stamps from an online company I had never heard of or used before. Did a Google search and didn't see any red flags and the pricing was good so went ahead and tried to place an order. All went fine until I entered my CC info and it got kicked back.
My card is valid and good to use, so I went back and placed my order with Walmart instead - same pricing and I have done online business with them before so felt better. Then I went to my CC account and locked it. It had no balance so that was good. How do I know that other online vendor didn't have a program in place to grab all my CC info? I don't. So easy to lock your CC these days. This is a card I only use a few times each year to keep it from being cancelled so not an inconvenience at all. BTW....you can get a 100 roll of Forever stamps for $31.94 delivered to your mail box - quite a savings! They are US Flag stamps too! |
My SSN has expired numerous times.
I have not clicked on the link to renew it. |
I have one 35 year old email I don't use much. I keep for the rare legitimate email I get from old friends or relatives. I go in and empty the spam box as there is rarely anything legit in the inbox.
Recently the "make my manhood bigger" and other enhancements have started showing up. I had not seen one of these in years. What next, my car warranty is about to expire. The dumbest ones I get are for offers of low interest loans of 480,000K to my business. Dozens of them every week. I don't plan on ever borrowing money again, and if I did it would be with my local bank, and not some internet organization. I guess I have good credit. :) |
My Icloud account will be locked, my antivirus expired, my Amazon account has been locked and my weiner could be bigger. Soooo stupid.

Lately I've been getting calls from my "grandchild" (most often a male) telling me they've had an accident and have been arrested. I like to lead them on as long as possible even if it's just to waste their time. These scammers get pretty creative when it comes to plying their trade.

Wow, so you've died and been resuscitated several times? I didn't realize that the SSA monitored our vitals and worked that fast! |
I think the best idea is to "freeze " one's credit
