I took the alternator in, he said three days. I went back after three days, he said the new Bosch VR was defective. Three days later he says it's fixed.

It is installed now and I'm struggling to get the belt on. The 'tool' for a V70R is not the easy 1/2" or 3/8" square drive, it's a T55 torx. It's not an easy task.

I'm hoping to finish it up today. If you don't see an update, it's because I can't get the belt on...

Belt is on, car is back running. Charging at 14.4 volts.

Fingers crossed, but I think it's fixed.

1990C4S are you having a bad month of alternator problems? You don't jump start other cars with the engine running do you?

Just an accumulation of ignored problems. And a lot of old cars...

I don't jump start anything, but I do carry spare batteries.
