I thought I'd start a thread on cool gift ideas. I just ordered a coffee mug from Mpix.com for a friend that has a couple of dogs. Not original, but a cool surprise. There's other cool stuff they can do with photos there. Let's see more cool stuff.

Our DiL got a mug for the wife and my mother with pics of the grandkids. I'm sure that my mom has 100 coffee mugs, and probably only uses 1 or 2. I believe she probably never uses that one, but has it sitting beside her.

We got my mom one of those electronic picture frames a couple of X-mases ago. We loaded it up with some pictures, and now when she gets photos of the grandkids, she can add them in really easily. It rotates through the photos as a slide show. I think that's her favorite recent gift.

I've been using these in my on set tool kit for all different sizes of screws, nuts and bolts. You just cannot have enough of them.

I've also seen women use them for hardware and also craft stuff.

You can get a blanket with a picture like that. Have one with perhaps the best photo taken of the grandkids

I ride dirtbikes with a guy who just completed 10 rounds of chemo and was declared cancer free. I stumbled on an old motocross trophy for free on craigslist and got new inscription made. It is gaudy and huge. And, I told him it was to celebrate his being cancer free. I am very pleased how it turned out. No pics. Sorry.

When the wife wrote her first two books, I had a local potter do mugs to my design. She never uses them, but they are displayed where they can be seen.
These days, I try to find something that supports her horse addiction. She is getting winter riding gloves next week and new boots for Christmas.

Inspired by these in the shop at our little history museum, I found that you can get custom ones for ~$80-150. Bobbleheads.com - they claim you can have it in time for christmas if you order before next friday.

They do dogbobbleheads as well.

You can get pawjamas with your pet's face on it. Cool stuff, but I sleep nekkid.
