Again with the flippin' road pirates !!

I was up till 2 am last night watching the TCRL ( the civil rights lawyer ) on You tube . I like that guy . Kind of gives you a glimpse into what total douche canoes cops can be at times.
So, I just worked 11.5 hours. Loaded up all my stuff in my trusty sweed steed Volvo wagon, with my 8 year old in tow in the back seat , and headed for home . I stop at the dollar store and get some shampoo, a 6 pack of pepsi, and some juice boxes, and chips for my kids lunch tomorrow at camp .
I pull out of the dollar store, with my foot to the floorboards, so by the time I traveled about a mile , the Volvo was really puttin' it down, and I bet I was up to 55 ish ( I had 4 semi truck drums in the back , it was really weighted down )
I see Johnny law away up ahead in his typical place, and I just make sure my speedo is parked at 50 and I roll on by him without a care in the world .
WTF?? he pulls out and aggressively gets up on me .
Im in the slow lane and he gets up on my bumper in the passing lane, and just parks there . Follows me for about 2 miles like this , then lights me up .
Let me preface this by saying, this is my freaking town . I live here, 25 years, had my biz h for 22 and I know all the cops, and important people at the township . They all know Im a straight shooter , I have no criminal record, nothing on my drivers license , and I don't drink or do drugs .
My home town, is one place, where I am not afraid of the local police .
So John Poncharello, comes up to the car, says " hello I'm patrolman jerkface of the Middlesex twp police department, I pulled you over because your license plate expired 10 years ago.
Im dumbfounded, as I have already handed him my registration, insurance and license . Its current through August of 2026. I ask him if maybe he has entered my plate number incorrectly ?
I've had this plate for just a tick under 2 years , and its def current
He then starts a fisin' . He wants to know what is up with the repair towing plate on this car , where I am coming from and where I am headed to etc..
I just give him the dumb look, like wtf, I said, yeah, its my plate, I have my business, right here in Middlesex, and its my car . I run an auto repair shop and have tow trucks. I told him where I was at, and he was all of a sudden, " Oh, the guy with all the german cars "
Here , super trooper , is a new rookie, and we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting .
I didnt answer any other questions, but was cool and to the point with him. I am not afraid of the popo, and Ill school these nitwits every time if I have to . I am operating 100% within the confines of the law, and I always have . I do this on purpose .
This was nearly my same experience a few months ago that I posted about here , only those sorry sacks tried to throw $800 dollars worth of fines at me, none of which stuck in court . Cops just hate it when they think they have something, but do not . These plates are kind of interesting, in that they allow me to do all sorts of sketchy stuff , and all of it is 100 % legal. I can pretty much, put them on anything and drive it till my little heart is content . My self, and my family members are allowed to use them for business or personal use on any vehicle, unless, it is stolen or very illegal in some other manner . Im not stupid enough to cross any of those boundaries . My cars are supposed to be inspected, but they do not absolutely have to be . I can use the plates for the purpose of testing vehicles that I am working on , inspected or not and there is no hour limit , day or night . I think cops hate this
Tonight, I am going to make a paper copy of the states vehicle code pertaining to these plates and keep it with me in my car/tow trucks .

His tone changed real quick and he became softer and suddenly friendly . Im 100% sure, he saw my obnoxious Volvo, with Bob Marley and surf stickers on the hatch , tinted windows, and dirty me with my long locks flying out the window ,and figured Id be an easy score .
Not tonight chumlee !
He actually apologized, and explained that this was a mistake with PennDOt ( I know he was lying) and told me will just pretend this stop never happened, and sent me on my way .
I'm gonna go in the township building in the upcoming weeks and try to get on their rotation for towing anyhow, so this was probably a good encounter in the grand scheme of things . Officer was super cordial after he realized he did not hit pay dirt , and we parted ways on good terms . Id go as far to say that he liked me , and could probably tell I am not a menace to any one . I told him to stop by anytime .

Here are a few pics of my sweed steed for attention. ( doubles as my work truck), and I drive this to work almost daily .

fastfredracing 07-08-2025 06:00 PM

Im def not getting any speeding tickets in it !

speeder 07-08-2025 09:57 PM

Nice 245!

What a great rig, absolutely indestructible in good maintenance hands like yours. I scored the identical car for a close woman friend a few years back and still maintain it for her, it's an '86 and it's your car minus your cool rims.

You rock Fred :)

I'm 100% behind most LEOs and one gave me a free ride a few weeks ago after a totaled car....but...

I've been pulled over many times on BS fishin' by 'em too :(.

Being white, "from around here", and a few more decades around the sun doesn't hurt either.

You are golden with him now ... break out the turbo :D

You can get a speeding ticket on a moped in a school zone.

HobieMarty 07-09-2025 10:29 AM

No way!!that's a cool plate, but its probably tied to enough stop sign violatioins to land a fellow in the clink .
Keep on keepin on brother Baz!!

Driving the speed limit in a Volvo wagon, I would have pulled you over. Way to suspicious. Are those rims from a BMW e39?

LMAO! True dat!

"keep on keepin' on" that's what'll get him into trouble. LOL

The plate confusion was a red herring; as you said you were profiled.

KFC911 07-09-2025 12:44 PM

The "FL stoner mobile" craze is creeping along .... Baz started a surfer fad!

He reminds me of the old joke about the cop pulling the guy over for rolling a stop sign; he pulls him out of the car, starts beating the schit out of him with his billy club and says, "do you want me to stop or just slow down?" :D
