A quick pool lesson

Short video of Mark Wilson, who knows more about pool than most. When he talks of "squirt", he means what many call deflection....the amount a cue ball will travel off line when the ball is "spun" by hitting it off center. Yes, even the carbon fiber shaft cues, touted as "low deflection" still deflect. To make things even more complicated, no two cues deflect the same. "spin", or english, is used mainly to control the cue ball after the shot.

Okay, here we go...

Hey thanks for posting that. I've been putting some spin on cushion shots for a long time but it looks like I was aiming for the my shot wrong. I was still trying to hit the cushion and the subject ball at the same time. I'll be correcting that tonight.

It's great to see that you are back up and at it enough to post pool videos for us!

In honor of your recovery...

glad you liked it bb...Mark is the owner of the pool site & posting board AZ Billiards. Possibly knows the many layers of the game better than some pros. It's wise to heed his wisdom, especially the bit on deflection...

Steve...I didn't want anything to do with collector cars after I parted ways with my 911S. However, I paid $30,075 new, licensed & out the door for my '09 Bullitt. Since '09's are essentially left over '08's, around 800 made. looks like they aren't collector cars, but do retain value better than most.

At this point of my recovery program, dunno if I'll ever drive again. If not? Well, my daugher will have a Mustang that she can crash or trash...
