I worked for the couple at one time. I mostly interacted with Wendy Wood. They were nice people but tough business wise. They had large apartment units and I contracted to do their tile and floor coverings. They wanted me to pay for materials and sit on them until a unit needed work and then pay when the unit was completed. Tat was too much money out of my pocket at one time. I gave them up as clients.

Wow! They certainly could have afforded to buy and hold the materials. What a bizarre story that was with that family.

Wow, whacky!

"working in a gold mine." WTF does that mean? I don't picture that as the sort of job a guy like that would do.

I guess you never know when something will happen close to you. About four years ago, there was a murder and suicide on a property less than a quarter mile from us. Of course we were shocked. Apparently the owner had died, and the daughter and son took over the property. The son was stripping the property of things and selling it to finance a drug habit. He & the sister got into a confrontation over it, and the son shot his sister and himself. It's a strange feeling to experience something like that happening so close.

There is so much weird stuff going on behind closed doors, everywhere.

I just assume, from reading the news. I can’t see it because the doors are closed.

I worked with a guy years ago, and he was telling me about a major league baseball player that won a World Series, but blew all of his money and was working as a laborer, waterproofing foundations.
