Amazing. I always wondered how often a snake eagle was bitten by the snake. Tough birds.

I thought the eagle was dead. Just amazing!

Yea, I wonder if snake eagles have a partial immunity. Tough day in the wilds of Africa for the wildlife. No meals, just stress and frustration.

Wow, crazy. Surely the snake wasn't thinking about eating the eagle, so why was it hanging on? I would have thought the eagle was a threat to the snake so as soon as the eagle was incapacitated, the snake would have skeedaddled.

I found several places on the Internet that say no, but this one in particular is about the snake eagle and also says "no" to immunity.

The snake wasn't hanging on, it was caught on the eagle's talons and couldn't get away.

Ah, I didn't see that. It looked like the tail was wrapped around the snake.

So that means that the lions were just being neighborly, helping the snake and bird that were stuck together out. And the snake was ungrateful, but the bird stuck around a min to say "thanks, ladies" and then skeedaddled.
