Replacing the back seat in a 2000 Chevy crew cab half ton truck
Brother in law has a bit of rodent damage in the back seat. Reupholster or wrecking yard replacement, which do y'all think is the way to go?

When Dad was managing a vineyard that had a '78 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 that needed a seat replaced, he had the upholstery shop build it wider so you didn't fall off it between the door and the seat.
Worked out perfectly. I say reupholster for sure.

If you can find an auto upholsterer. They are disappearing around here. I'd say whichever is easiest. I looked a long time for a decent bench seat for my '89 truck a several years ago when I owned that model. Never did find one. Salvage yards were too high, but almost all trucks of that age had crap seats so it didn't matter. Private party offerings were infrequent.
