				3 fun days

Buddy from one of the muzzleloading forums I am on came down from NJ to hang out with me and another buddy from the forum

Monday we spent abusing steel plates at 400 yards with bolt guns in 223, 6.5 creedmoor, 308, and a couple of .45 smokeless muzzle loaders (200gr bullets at 2700fps!) Tuesday we moved the steel into 150 yards and abused the hell out of it with my AR and bolt guns in 762x39, and played with golf balls, soda cans and water bottles with my SBR set up with a 22lr 4" barrel (20" oal ar, quite fun) Yesterday we hit the St Johns river for some shrimping and bait catching (shrimp failed, did get shad for bait), then hit Matanzas Inlet for 5 hours of fishing (but no catching, though we missed a few strikes) Last night we had dinner at a fantastic local sammich place (Hogans), enjoyed a few beers, then we got into some bourbon tasting with my son Taking it real easy today, and Im gonna need more time off to recover from the time off I've been enjoying Fall term starts Monday, so back to the salt mines ...

Yes, and about as non traditional as you can get. Closed breech with special breech plug to allow safe use of smokeless powder. Common load for a 45 will get a 200gr .40 bullet in a sabot moving at 2600+ fps. Not my cup of tea - my muzzle loader is a .50 percussion gun, but what these guys are doing is incredible Buddy should have a new .30 build completed soon - think 125gr bullets at up to 3500fps (300 win mag levels). Several others have built .30 SMLs that are sub-moa machines.
