If they were here, they'd have another 2-3 months. Our forecast. I'm overjoyed that the weather has turned and fall is coming. You can tell because the morning temps are below 70º instead of 75º and above.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1757612594.jpg We have a small pond (25'x45'x5-6'). For a while we had what I'm pretty sure was a red-eared slider. But then we got a ton of rain and our pond is part of a creek system that's normally dry, but when we get a ton of rain, it flows. I think we got a few inches in a short period of time and he got washed downstream. We miss him. It's possible that he's still around, but I haven't seen him in a while. Of course, nature has also grown up around the pond, so maybe I'm just not seeing him any more. |
^^^ You could pick another one up from Petco....the three of mine in the camera are all from there.
Set out a small dish with turtle food and they will stick around. (preferably on a log or board in the water to keep the varmints out of it) |
Our early morning temps have been in the 40's....but it warms quickly.
