Freddy Mercury

Fascinating stuff.

Concert halls filled with his voice have been found throughout the world.

Sometimes even swimming pools—because you know he wanted to break free.

Freddy was a heavy performer for sure!

All hail the Fat bottomed Girl!

I 'think' Bowie went to their Lake Geneva Switz studio and recorded the 'Under Pressure' song tbere. One of my favorite flight sim areas.

Did he ever sing about pyramids or underground chambers? Because that would have been cool!

70SATMan 09-11-2025 06:48 PM

The video for Bohemian Rhapsody offers a 3D view of the performers with never before seen sacred geometry!

Brain May is an astrophysicist. THAT my friends is NO coincidence!

Baz 09-11-2025 06:53 PM

I've always considered Queen to be right up there in stature with all the great bands from Great Britain. Beatles, Stones, The Who, etc.

70SATMan 09-11-2025 06:57 PM

No doubt in my mind Baz!

Baz 09-11-2025 06:57 PM

The first car I ever got a subwoofer in was my '80 TR7. This was in 1993. I had some guys install the whole 9 yards. JL Audi speakers w/Kenwood head unit and CD changer under the seat. Custom subwoofer box behind the passenger seat. Amp in the trunk.

The CD I played the first day?

Queens Greatest Hits! :)

I built my first passive crossovers in 1984 for my ‘77 280Z. Kenwood KRC 626 Deck, Nakamichi PA300 amps and component drivers. Pretty much a hidden system when the deck was pulled.

First tape?? Billy Squier - Don’t Say No. I have tinnitus now, LOL.

I remember reading somewhere once that they were the "smartest" band in R&R.

They all held high degrees in different subjects.

john70t 09-11-2025 07:51 PM

Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), John Travolta, maybe Tom cruise were jumbo jet certified-pilots.
Actresses Mayim Bialik and Geena Davis had higher level degrees.
Also Bryan "Dexter" Holland of the Offspring singing dumb pop songs.
Dolf Lungren a chem PHD while breaking Stalone's ribs.
etc

Henry Rollins taught English Lit at UF back in late 80s/early 90s

There is a famous rapper who has lectured for physics at MIT

Kris Kristofferson was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford, amongst other significant athletic and intellectual achievements. Albert Einstein is a good actor, as Albert Brooks.
