how long do you think it will be before people quit yelling this?

it is very common among the YouTube fishermen. anything..."lets go!!"

yesterday, I announced lunch at the office and a guy yelled, "let's GO!!"
errr..its lunch. just lunch.

its a good battle cry no denying it. rallies the team..

I heard a 5 year old holler it at the announcement of pizza for dinner. :D

I've not heard/experienced that. If you'd just avoid people as much as possible, you could avoid this phenomena.

I'm guessing it's some fad started by a commercial, show, or movie. I guess it could be from one of the video based social medias too these days.

I have teens in sports, I probably hear this daily.:) I figure there are way worse things they could be yelling.

Yep, just another inane fad of a saying. "You go, girl." That sort of thing. Sounds like the evolution of the 9/11 cry, "Let's roll!"

I don't get out much, so I didn't know about Lets Goooooo, but this post reminded me of the European anti-tobacco mandate for motorsports advertising back in the '90's. Gauloises became Go!!!!!!!
