Titanium the best header coating color?

15 year old headers look new, never used with new heat coating.
Titanium has a factory cast iron exhaust manifold look.
For $700 old header cleaned and coated.
No longer a paint it black and put it back car guy.

Man, ceramic coating. Great stuff. A long way from the days when all we had was VHT paint in rattle cans..

They look great!

I've painted headers a couple of times, and every time most of the paint, closest to the block mostly burned off.

I had the pipes for the Cobra ceramic coated by Jet Hot. Rusted in 6 months. They recoated under warranty and they rusted again in 6 months. This is when I lived in El Centro in the desert. They refused to honor the warranty after that.

There is a local place here, Tammy's, that is supposed to be good. Was looking at titanium since no one does white.

What the hell were you doing living in El Centro?:)

I had my coated but haven't had a chance to put em on yet. Rigid oil line in the way. 72 car with a 2.7L

Titanium is a "brand". Or just a color from your local heat coater?

Not sure what is being said. The color does look great!

We use a local coater with great results... same as you have seen...

I like ceramic coated stuff. Lasts and generally stays nice, easy to clean.

I never actually did heat measurements but the temps do feel cooler than one would expect VS. uncoated headers.

Just a color. The coating process sure cleans up old headers.

They do look great Mike.

Will be doing the headers and exhaust on the Radical this winter.

Was head of IT for a software publisher. My sister was out there and got the interview for me. Then she moved. Did meet my wife and got married out there then we moved back to WI since there are so many more outdoors activities close for the kids and Road America is 3 hours away. Crandon isn't far either. Nor Blackhawk Farms.

It was nice to be able to see the Blue Angels practice. A friend owns a farm right next to NAS EC..
