Operation Fishbowl
At 53 yo I’m shocked that tonight is the first I am leaning about this. I had a very good education by most standards and yet this was never mentioned once. I recall a lot of talk about hair spray and the ozone layer but nothing about these irresponsible actions. My parents never mentioned it either.
Any of you experience looking up and seeing these explosions back then? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oPq5fGZdUJo?si=tdjY2ayqEW5wAPor" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Thanks for the Tip , never heard about this not once.

Never heard of it here either and I'm 72, so it was right in my teen years.
Then again, in MI, we had no training or education in case of nuclear attack. The only training was for in case of a tornado hitting us and while I was in 4th grade, one went right through the school grounds. We watched it from the school's basement windows. . |
There were some interesting comments under the video from people saying they remember seeing the blast….people in Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia

I was 3, living thousands of miles away, so didn't see it. If my parents discussed it, I was probably oblivious to it while playing outside in the sand pile.
I knew about Starfish Prime and an EM attack is more of a concern to me than a conventional nuke attack, as that's the most likely way for China to conquer us without using conventional military means. |
