I think the story garners attention in large part because of the movie-set killing of a camera woman by AB, for which he was acquitted. Many believe he should have been held accountable and would have if he were not a politically outspoken celebrity.

Those that feel that way are always eager to pile on when the opportunity presents itself. If it were almost any non-celebrity, there would have been no coverage at all.

You've got that right about no coverage without him driving...it's a minor traffic collision with no injuries. Who gives a **** even with him driving?

"Many people believe" because many people are extremely ignorant about the legal system of their own country and just think that the justice system should placate their feelings. If they "feel" like someone is guilty of something then gosh darn it, they should be convicted!! I mean, dag nam it!

From everything I read, (which was too much), he got no special favors from the courts down in New Mexico. I don't think that they were too impressed with him.

I was going to say you'd be surprised by how many Assistant DA's feel that way. But then again, you probably would not be surprised by that.

I literally had an offer on a case this week that exceeded the jurisdictional maximum prison sentence for the alleged offense. ADA was offering a 12 year sentence cap on a 10 year maximum. It was more inexperience but there was a little bit of being over zealous thrown in for good measure.

It doesn't matter what Alec said. He has no excuse for not stopping behind the truck. He was either trying to pass it illegally, or didn't realize until it was too late that he was going too fast.

It says he's unable to come right out and admit he was wrong and that he made a mistake.

Lord knows we are ALL guilty at times of being wrong and making mistakes.

Those who are able and willing to come out and admit it show high character.

Alec's credibility is low- we know that. He probably didn't expect a dash cam in the truck. I think he either lied or he missed the truck and assumed he was cut off. That's why I don't think his biased opinion doesn't matter. Why do you think it's important?

It is torturous to even watch her on video for one minute...if you dislike him, this is just punishment for him.

That's the first video I could find. I've seen others where she is horrible to him. He doesn't look very happy in those.

That's the English voice. Apparently, there is a Spanish accent voice that she used to put on and pretend that was her original version. Born in Boston, spent a bit of time in Spain as a kid. They deserve each other.
