Something near and dear - the best toilet $99 - 465
LOL!
I know this subject has come up before, several times. So here are some unbiased tests of 4 toilets of a variety of prices from a variety of locations. < edit > What?!? No embedding! Wankers! < edit > They test a $99 toilet, then an American Standard, then a Kohler, and finally a Toto that's $465 and doesn't include a seat. Performance-wise the Kohler and Toto are the best. They were able to flush 12 golf balls in the Kohler and 20 golf balls in the Toto. They also flushed 12 sausages out of both and they both flushed all 12 sausages in one flush (over 2.5# of sausage). They also did a reasonable job of cleaning/clearing a spray of chocolate pudding from a drywall texture gun.

When we remodeled our house a few years ago, we went with Toto. Not impossible to clog (one kid seems to use half the roll of TP), but it takes some doing.

TOTO. 100%. (knocking on wood hard)
I have not clogged a toilet (and I have tried - like I am sponsored by Metamucil) in 18 years. I put one in my last house, and as soon as I bought this house, I bought two and had them installed. my plumber at the time said the outgoing pipe on a Toto is 3". Never pulled a tape, but I believe him. there was that one bran muffin event next door to a coffee party....well, you know.

actually, based on some of your previous posts, both of our bathrooms following remodel have outlets right next to the toilet in the event that we get bidet seats. We keep saying that we're going to, but those things (the cadillac versions) aren't cheap.

When we purchased our retirement home my wife wanted new toilets . Purchased the Kohler elongated that said on the box it could flush a bucket of golf balls . So far ( 10 years later ) we have never clogged one . That includes multiple guests .

Some years ago I bought a new toilet from Lowe's that was highly rated in Consumer Reports (don't remember the brand and model) and installed it in the water closet in the bathroom my wife mostly uses. Then a few years ago I bought her a bidet seat - one of those programmed things with heated seat, etc and installed it after installing an outlet to plug it into. It was her Christmas present (the major one) for that Christmas. She still refers to it as "the best Christmas present ever."

I used to love Toto. Flushed great but needs maintenance, flush mechanism don't hold up. Never again, they seemed to have redesigned the bowl and now they leave skid marks.
We've installed hundreds of the $200 Kohler Highline (from the big orange store) with zero callbacks.

If yer poopin' golf balls, you have bigger problems than the topic at hand....
But back on topic, we like Toto and have had them in our last two houses. No issues

Wife and I just got back from a trip to Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. We were retiring in 3 years but she now insists on the full boat Toto in our retirement home currently rented out. So now 4 years to retirement. Haha. Yes they are that good!
