I've seen several folks that make similar videos. Some seem to really focus on the worst (train wreck gets views, right). But this guy is my favorite. If you watch several, you realize that he's extremely knowledgeable, and also dedicated to making the cows as comfortable as possible and healing their issues.

I don't watch a ton of this guy's videos, but I do watch one from time to time.

Those "Nate the Hoof Guy" videos were strangely fascinating. Hats off to Rocky Kanaka and his patience with bringing that poor dog around. But I couldn't watch that for 42 minutes.

These sheep turn the tables. I know I've seen even more amazing stuff with goats.

I like watching videos from the Idaho Horseshoeing School.

https://www.youtube.com/@idahohorseshoeingschool

I've also decided that I'm officially a Horse Widower. The wife comes home from work and then spends 2-3 hours each night at the barn. Instead of cooking, it's fast food. If I do go to the barn with her, I end up being the unpaid barn help. Horses make a lot of poop.

We found a hole in Cash's training tonight. We went for a walk on the hill behind the barn. When we started out, I could see a couple deer running half way up the field. I wanted to see how close we could get, and whether Cash would freak out at them, or just watch them. We got up one part of the hill, and the two deer were gone, but there was a young one about 40 yards away. I walked a little closer, it watched me, and slowly turned away from me. Then it just walked off. I don't think the horse ever saw it. We got to where it was standing and it was long gone, but there's lots of tracks from the field leading into the woods, so there must be quite a few nearby.

The hole was, while we were walking, my wife let the lead rope droop, and the horse stepped on it. This freaked him out, and now it was caught around his leg. He kept backing away from my wife and eventually pulled the rope out of her hands and took off. Since he is supposedly a former ranch horse, I would have though he was desensitized to ropes, or at least learned to stand and let the human untangle him, but no. He walked / trotted back to his pasture and just stood by the gate. I'm glad he at least did that and didn't wildly take off somewhere.

I guess we have more work to do.

Here's an example.

Captain Matthias Scheer and his guests witnessed a massive bait ball of anchovies being attacked by 300-pound tuna, fin whales and sea lions.

Scheer, a San Diego captain with four years of experience, was leading the trip aboard a rigid inflatable boat operated by Big Blue Photo Expeditions when the dramatic scene unfolded. The expedition had set out in search of orcas but instead discovered one of the ocean's most spectacular feeding events.

"We got really excited when we saw the water erupt, it looked like the ocean was exploding. We saw massive 300-pound Tuna erupting out of the water, it looked like the ocean was splitting apart," said Scheer.

All of the animals in this video are doing well, except for the first alligator who unfortunately passed away the day after we removed two arrows and multiple bird shots from her head. Theodore the sulcata was abandoned in West Palm Beach with severe metabolic bone disease, a collapsing shell and a prolapse. Kira the fox was rescued from a fur farm, the cage you see in the video is where she spent her entire life before coming to us. Big Mac the alligator was hit by a truck on the highway and suffered neurological damage from it. Ocala the dog was abandoned in Ocala National Forest in the middle of nowhere, left to die alone- he was 35 lbs when we found him. Larry the turtle was taken from the wild as a baby and kept improperly for 15 years in a small tank with improper lighting, and when he came to us he was dying, had a squishy shell, and had to be fed with a feeding tube for months. Yuč the fox also came from a horrific fur farm. All of these animals are thriving with us at @bellowingacres. If you like what we do and you want to support us, please consider making a donation through our website bellowingacres.org . We have over 200 animals in our care that live at the sanctuary. We would not be able to continue to rescue animals at the rate are without you ❤️ Thank you

When Ricardo and Brian first saw a bear in their pool, they could hardly believe it. Over time, they learned her name was Maddie, and she became a regular visitor. They would often find her floating in the pool or taking peaceful naps by the water. But when the wildfires came, Ricardo and Brian feared they would never see her again. Weeks later, Maddie returned, safe and calm, with her little cubs by her side. Now, every visit feels like a small miracle, a reminder of how trust and nature can heal after even the toughest times.
