Now, allow me to apologize in advance to any of you that just love BMWs.
With that out of the way, this bike sucks compared to the ones I've ridden to date. No torque at idle whatsoever, so I had to really roll on the throttle just to start up. Or perhaps there's no flywheel mass? Switchgear that left me signalling with my hands for fear of hitting the damn horn. No room for my feet on the pegs (!). Nasty vibes above 3500 rpm. Pluses? Well, at least my wrists don't hurt. Nor does my tailbone. And the dealer kindly let me take the bike out for an hour. Oh, and some chick checked me out at a stoplight.

Sorry to hear that. I think you should cross-post over on Wayne's R1100S BBS
![]() I stopped by our local BMW/Aprilla dealer yesterday. They had a really nice Futura there....I think I'll go back next weekend to ride it, along with a couple of other BMW's. The GS is really the only one I fit on though....

I'm leaning heavily towards an Aprilia Falco at this point. I just don't want to buy new, and the only used one for sale in AZ has some low-speed-drop fairing damage ($700!).
