How much do you pay for a haircut?

Around here it’s about $50-$70 for a fade and taper before tip. Is that about what you pay or am I paying SF Bay Area tax?

It's normally around $22 here and they offer $3 off to seniors...plus tip.

I have to pay $30 + $5 tip for a standard old man's hair cut. I remember when haircuts were 90 cents. That would make a haircut cost $1,000 by the time another 60 years roll around - not counting tip.

I think I pay 10-20¢ each for these. Wish I'd switched to convertible years earlier!

A woman working out of her house cuts my hair for $35. Always looks pretty good and grows out evenly so it only needs cutting about every 5-6 weeks.

Around $23 plus I tip him $8 or so. Just a regular barbershop with the owner and one employee.

You must be going to more of a salon type business?

$50 including the tip for me but, that comes with a straight razor clean up neck shave, hot towel massage finish with any service, they offer free small complimentary beer or coffee while waiting for the chair to open up.

They also do full straight razor face shaves which I've had done a handful of times.

Local small business entrepreneurs. Great vibe/atmosphere as well.. It's a great way to relax for 40 min.

For the longest times, I got my hair cut in a semi-retired barber's home garage. He had a chairnin there any everything. $25. He had a barbershop. It closed during Covid, so he started cutting his customers' hair in his garage.

Now I've moved cross-country, and I have yet to find a place as comfortable. $25, $35. But it's not the same.

After the local Thai place closed down, it has been diy. I tried other places but I was tired of fixing it when i got home.

Same here, for the basics. Can spend more from time to time on extras.

Can’t wait to make a trip to Japan and get one of their uber-luxurious haircuts.

I'm cutting my own hair. I don't really have fifty bucks worth of hair, or even ten bucks worth of hair. It's fun and easy.

I bought one of those Wahl clipper kits and did my own about 5 times... one was really good, one was really bad and three were okay. I’ll pay a professional, although I do minor touch ups between cuts.
