Beautiful tribute to a racer dad

AFTER TWENTY YEARS IN SILENCE, A RARE ALFA ROMEO IS BROUGHT BACK INTO THE LIGHT BY A FATHER AND SON. DRIVING IT AGAIN BECOMES A WAY OF STAYING CLOSE TO WHAT'S BEEN LOST. That was terrific!
Made my day thanks gary |
I always really liked Alain in Fifth Gear. Top Gear was great, but Alain and Vicki in Fifth Gear we at least as great to watch.
Great video. Thanks for posting. |

Met Mr de Cadenet during car week in Carmel. He had a Stelvio that he was driving for Alfa and showing off. Apparently Alfa had a dinner at Cassanova in Carmel but neglected to have a place to park. I let him use my pass for the lot in my motel. Great guy, glad I met him, though he did offer a ride in the 8C during the racing but for some reason that never happened. |
Such a fantastic piece and love story. I was a huge fan of Alain and his car review series back then. And the Spitfire low pass is the bomb! Thanks for posting that Baz.
